Former Zimbabwe Warriors captain Willard Katsande is dealing with ligament pain in the inner part of his knee suffered in a league game, his club Kaizer Chiefs have said.

Katsande was injured in his club’s league victory over rivals Orlando Pirates.

“Katsande is currently in a brace,” the club’s physiotherapist Dave Milner was quoted by Kaizer Chiefs website as saying. “He had a scan and will see the specialist this week to determine the extent of the injury.”

The Zimbabwean has been playing very well for Amakhosi, and his injury is of concern to supporters.

The medical team is yet to determine the extent of his injury but it is unlikely he will take part in their next game this weekend. They are scheduled to play Amazulu on Saturday night at the Soccer City stadium.
