Updated: 5 die in early morning accident

Five people died while several others were injured a pick-up truck and a haulage truck collided at the intersection of Harare Drive and Borrowdale Road this morning.

Eye witnesses claimed that the pickup truck which was travelling from the city center to Domboshawa had 16 people on board.

Eleven of those 16 passengers, including an 8-month old baby, were rushed to hospital.

Police are yet to comment on the accident.
