Another Suspected Ritual Killing In Harare

Police in Harare are investigating a suspected ritual killing of a yet to be identified woman whose burnt body was found along a footpath in Mabvuku suburb with some flesh and body parts missing.

According to police, the body was discovered on Monday by a woman who was walking along a path from Cleveland Park towards Mabvuku suburb. The body had a deep hole on the chest and had flesh missing from both lower limbs.

Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Tendai Mwanza confirmed the incident to ZTN “This is a disturbing scenario where we suspect foul play with respect to ritualism. Investigations are underway to establish the facts. Anyone with any information that can assist the police investigations should report to ZRP Mabvuku or to any nearest police station,” said inspector Mwanza.

Detectives who attended the scene recovered a pair of scissors and spoon from beneath the burnt body.

A post-mortem is being carried out at Parirenyatwa group of hospitals.
