Antipas turns to Spain

WARRIORS coach Joey Antipas has turned to Spain based goalkeeper Martin Mapisa to address the team’s goalkeeping weaknesses.
Mapisa, the Valeza goalkeeper, has been included in the team that will face Botswana and Zambia in World Cup qualifiers.
Elvis Chipezeze of Baroka is currently the first-choice goalkeeper but his mistakes at the Africa Cup of Nations finals against DRC are still worrisome to many.
There was no place for big goalkeepers George Chigova and Edmore Sibanda who are not convincing at their South Africa based clubs.
But Mapisa is seen as a long term solution to the team’s goalkeeping woes, and at 20 he might be backed to reach the heights of veteran Liverpool goalkeeper Bruce Grobbelaar who did well for Zimbabwe before.
