Highlanders cruised past fellow Castle lager premier soccer league strugglers, Bulawayo Chiefs with a 3-1 victory in what came as a relief to the Bosso faithfuls.

Tinashe Makanda scored a brace, while Prince Dube scored his third goal of the season in what was a dominant display from Bosso.

Pint sized winger, Ray Lunga thought he had scored Bosso’s fourth goal only for it to be disallowed for offside, just after the hour mark.

Incoming Highlanders’ Dutch coach Hendriek Pieter de Jongh was in the stands as he awaits his work permit.

Highlanders now travel to Harare to face perennial rivals Dynamos in the Chibuku Super Cup at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.

In another Premier soccer league match played at Luveve stadium this afternoon (Wednesday), Chicken Inn FC beat Herentals 4-1 to go to the top of the log standings and further cement their status as title contenders.
