Soccer Star of the year Joel ‘Josta’ Ngodzo has claimed that Caps United is his real home. Ngodzo honed his skills at Highlanders before he was lured to Zvishavane by FC Platinum’s huge purse.

The 2019 Soccer Star of the year’s career was at risk after FC Platinum failed to help him develop to the next level with his game.

On his finest hour after winning the league’s top gong, Ngodzo gave credit to the green machine for transforming his career.

“I have played for Highlanders, where I was Soccer Star of the Year runner-up in 2010. l have also played for FC Platinum and Caps. But certainly, Makepekepe is my real home.

“They (Caps United) loved me when everyone else hated me and for that I am thankful, I really appreciate. I want to thank the Caps United bosses for giving me a home,” said Ngodzo.

Following the resuscitation of his game, he is now getting comparisons with his brother Johannes – whose otherwise promising career was ended by an injury. But Josta was quick to say that he is far away from the exploits eached by his nimble-footed elder brother Johannes.

“Johannes was awesome, he was too good. You can’t compare him with me, that would be an insult to his talent,” revealed Ngodzo.
