Caps players down tools, set to meet club bosses

CAPS UNITED officials are hoping to swiftly contain a job action that has already seen players boycotting training and threatening more action if their financial demands are not met.

The Makepekepe lads are demanding an upward review of their bonuses citing rising costs of living and this morning refused to train as they accused the club’s executive of not taking them seriously.

Their message seems to have gotten home with sources revealing that a meeting between player representatives and club vice president Nhamo Tutisani is set for the capital later this afternoon.

“Both parties are agreed on the need to increase the bonuses and it’s just a matter of agreeing on figures. It’s not exactly a train smash but an industrial dispute that can be ironed out on the negotiation table,” a club official told ZTN Sport.
