THE Zimbabwe Sevens national team will be hoping to get into shape for the Olympic qualifiers when they participate in the Safari Sevens in Kenya this weekend.

The Olympic qualifiers are set for November in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Zimbabwe’s Cheetahs will return from Kenya on the 21st of October and continue with preparations, this time around in regional camps.

They will leave for the Stellenbosch Academy of Sport on the 30th of November where they are expected to train with the Blitzbokke.

At the Safari sevens, the Zambezi Cheetahs have been seeded in pool D where they will face Spain, Seventies and KDB.

Coach Gilbert Nyamutsamba has Polish-based Martin Mangongo and Blithe Mavesere at his disposal. Njabulo Ndlovu, Hilton Mudariki and captain Stephen Hunduza are the experienced players in the squad.
