Cheetahs upbeat ahead of Paramount Garments Rugby Africa Mens Sevens Tournament

Zimbabwe Cheetahs are confident of winning the upcoming Paramount Garments Rugby Africa Mens Sevens Tournament set to take place at the Harare Sports Club from September 16-17.
Speaking on ZTN Prime’s breakfast show, Morning Rush, the Cheetahs captain, Godfrey Magaramombe said the squad is skilled enough to go all the way.
“Mostly of our guys are very skilled on the field and definitely electric on the pace side so and trying to combine those two”, said Magaramombe
“We will have one or two big guys for the big hits he added.
Cheetahs Vice Captain Hilton Mudariki who has been out of the Sevens rugby set up is back in the squad shared the same sentiments.
“We have a nice blend of Youth and experience guys like Godfrey who have been there for a couple of years and some of the under 20 boys who are coming through”.
Mudariki also lauded the under 20s who are transitioning into the senior national team set-up
“Their sense of bravery and freedom of play that they bring into the set up these guys are young free flowing and keen to try out new stuff.
“Godfrey(Magaramombe) has been encouraging them to express themselves and not go into a shell, that’s what we want from the guys in our set up”, added Mudariki.
