MUSHFIQUR Rahim’s double century has made life difficult for Zimbabwe against Bangladesh on day 3 in Dhaka.

After Zimbabwe posted 265 all-out, Bangladesh responded with a total of 560 (declared) in their first innings, brightening chances of winning this test match.

For the hosts, they had Rahim, with his third double century in his career, to thank.

Mominul Haque also weighed in with a century.

If Zimbabwe’s batting on the first day is anything to go by, saving this Test match could be a mammoth task.

Ervine was the highest scorer with 107 while opener Prince Masvaure was on 64. Ervine is stand-in captain in the absence of Sean Williams.

Kevin Kasuza managed 2, Brendan Taylor 10 and Raza Sikandar 18. Timycen Maruma was on 7, Regis Chakabva 30 and Donald Tiripano 8. Ainsley Ndlovu and Charlton Tshuma went out for a duck while Victor Nyauchi was on 6.
