THE Zimbabwe Cricket senior men’s team, the Chevrons, have left the country for their tour of Ireland and Scotland.
Speaking before departure on Thursday, head coach Lalchand Rajput said he expects an improved performance from his side.
“We are going with a very young squad. The young guys are raising their hands and you saw that with Bangladesh. We had missed Sean and Craig and definitely the coming of the senior players will help the youngsters,” Rajput told ZTN.
Meanwhile, Zimbabwe has been confirmed as hosts for the ICC Women’s World Cup qualifier at the end of this year.
The ten-team tournament is scheduled for November 21 to December 5.
The tournament will determine the remaining three teams for the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 in New Zealand.
