Coronavirus hospital fugitive re-surfaces

The Thai national who escaped from Zimbabwe’s Wilkins Infectious Diseases Hospital on Monday upon admission pending Coronavirus testing has resurfaced.

He availed himself to the hospital on Tuesday morning, and medical personnel are monitoring him.

The 26-year-old man arrived in Zimbabwe from Thailand recently and presented with Coronavirus symptoms.

Harare City Health Director Dr Prosper Chonzi told ZTN News: “We are keeping him until we get results. His temperature is normal and he doesn’t have any symptoms. Police are happy that he is now back at Wilkins Hospital.”
