Coronavirus Watch: Trump suspends travel from European
United States President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday night the country will suspend all travel from European countries except Britain for 30 days in a bid to fight the ongoing novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak.
The announcement came as confirmed COVID-19 cases in the U.S. rolled past 1,000.
The new rules will go into effect Friday at midnight. In addition, the mayor of Washington DC declared on Wednesday that the US capital enters a state of emergency.
