A straight-set win by Novak Djokovic over Canadian Denis Shapovalov in the Shanghai Masters was enough to show the world number one is yet to stretch himself.

The defending champion managed a 6-3 6-3 victory. He will now face American John Isner.

Meanwhile, the Shanghai Masters has not been short of drama.

There was an on-court row experienced between Andy Murray and Italy’s Fabio Fognini, a game which Murray lost.

“I’ve never had that in a match and I’ve played 800-odd matches on the tour,” Murray was quoted as saying by the BBC, blaming his opponent.
