Doctors jostle for Higher life offer

Higher Life foundation (HLF) says it is happy with the number of doctors who have applied to join their new training fellowship programme for Junior and Senior medical practitioners employed at public healthcare institutions in Zimbabwe.
Addressing journalists in Harare this afternoon, the foundation’s Chief Executive Officer Kennedy Mubaiwa said 365 doctors have applied so far and they are going through the vetting process.
“We will also be giving ZWL$5000 to those doctors who will be on duty during the festive season. The doctors and nurses will also continue to get transport services from VAYA,” said Mubaiwa.
Higher Life Foundation has stressed that the initiative is their brainchild without any external input.
Doctors associations rejected the initial ZWL$100 million offer by the foundation saying that the terms and conditions of the programme were not viable.
