Dynamos teenage sensation Bill Antonio has been drafted into the Warriors team to face South Africa and Ethiopia in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers this week.
Zimbabwe face Bafana Bafana in the penultimate round of the qualifiers at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on Thursday night.
They will wrap up their group proceedings against Ethiopia at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.
They are no longer in contention for the global showpiece set for Qatar next year but the Warriors will try to salvage lost pride in the last two games.
And with Macaulay Bonne unavailable, coach Norman Mapeza has called in Antonio as the England-based striker’s replacement.
The local band of Warriors who include Antonio, Petros Mhari, Donovan Benard, Taimon Mvula, Kelvin Madzongwe and Peter Muduhwa are scheduled to leave today (Monday) for South Africa.
They will connect with their foreign-based colleagues in Johannesburg where the Warriors will set base ahead of the Limpopo battle.
The team will return home on Friday.
