England, France match off

THE cancellation of the 2019 Rugby World Cup match between England and France will see the English progress as winners of Pool C.
The match, set for Saturday, was called off as a result of Typhoon Hagibis and the two teams awarded two points each with a 0-0 scoreline.
There are fears the Typhoon, in Tokyo and surrounding areas, could also affect the Scotland and Japan match on Sunday.
Although organisers says the matches will go ahead, there is a possibility of another cancelation.
“The decision to cancel matches has not been taken lightly,” tournament director Alan Gilpin was quoted by the BBC as saying.
“It has been made with the best interest of team, public, and tournament volunteer safety as a priority based on expert advice.”
