The official launch of dialogue between Zimbabwe and the European Union kicked off in Harare recently. This was a long-overdue follow-up to the Cotonou Partnership Agreement signed in 2000.

At the meeting which occurred on Wednesday 5 June 2019, the two parties agreed to meet twice a year. Foreign Affairs and International Trade Secretary, Ambassador James Manzou and Head of the EU Delegation Ambassador Timo Olkkonen, chaired the meeting.
