Ex-Zinara boss on the run

Former Zimbabwe National Roads Administration Acting Chief Executive Officer, Moses Julius Juma, is on the run. He was charged by the Harare Magistrates court for criminal abuse of office and sentenced to 30 months in prison.

Juma was expected to serve two years in jail with six months being suspended for good behaviour. He, however, appealed at the High Court. According to the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission, Juma disappeared soon after the results of his appeal and they are currently looking for him. ZACC spokesperson, Commissioner John Makamure, confirmed this to ZTN News.

“I can confirm that he is wanted and he is on the run. ZACC is appealing to members of the public who have information that may lead us to him. We do not know where he is and we are looking for him.”
