FC Platinum are on the verge of grabbing a third league title in a row after a controversial win over Black Rhinos catapulted them over Caps United.

FC Platinum beat Black Rhinos 1-0 at their home ground, Mandava, when they converted a hugely disputed penalty which caused a temporary halt to the game, with visitors protesting the decision.

Caps United came into match day 33 leading by two points, but surrendered top spot after they lost 2-3 away to Ngezi Platinum.

FC Platinum is on 59 points and Caps United is on 58 going into the last game of the campaign.

Interestingly the two – FC Platinum and Caps United – play each other on the last day of the season.

For FC Platinum they need to avoid a defeat to be champions, while Caps United need to win at home to be crowned champions.
