Graffiti and mural artists under the banner of CaliGraph are painting murals in most of Zimbabwe’s high density suburbs, encouraging people to wear masks as a protection against the Coronavirus.

While graffiti art is not common in Zimbabwe, Chinhoyi University graduates and classmates, NyashaJeche and Marcus Zvinavashe have harnessed the power of the craft and have started using it to spread awareness on Covid-19.

The two artists and their team were recently in Mufakose where they put up a mural of Zimbabwean soccer star, Khama Billiat, encouraging people to wear masks.

This is their second mural with the first being that of multi award-winning musician, Jah Prayzah.

The Government and the World Health Organisation have urged people to wear masks when they appear in public.
