Hamilton waits for sixth title

LEWIS Hamilton will have to wait for the next race in Mexico to seal his sixth title.

This is despite the fact that team Mercedes secured a formula 1 record sixth straight world championship double after their Japanese Grand Prix victory.

Hamilton’s teamate Valtteri Bottas won that race, with rival Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel coming second, while Hamilton was third.

As things stand, Hamilton still leads Bottas by 64 points and needs to be 78 clear to win the title.

That, can happen in Mexico.
