Zim dancehall sensation Jah Master, whose real name is Rodney Mashandure, says the runaway success of his single Hello Mwari which has hit over 1,2 million views on YouTube, did not come as a surprise to him. The 23-year-old said he saw it coming.
Speaking to ZTN Jah Master said he dreams of being as big as Bob Marley or even Michael Jackson.
“I knew that this was coming, I was just waiting for God’s time. My goal is to be as big as Bob Marley or even Michael Jackson”, he said.
The musician added, “I have aspirations of collaborating with international artistes such as Jah Cure and Diamond Platnumz in the near future.”
The song, which was premiered on the 3 rd of August 2020 on Nash TV, is already receiving huge airplay and receiving backing from radio stations and DJs.
Currently, the biggest acts in the country are Jah Prayzah, Winky D and Alick Macheso. But judging by his current popularity, it seems Jah Master is about to join the big league.
The song is about him calling on God to tell him that there are people who are plotting his demise and begging him to intervene on his behalf.
