High court dismisses Zim opposition demo

Zimbabwe’s High Court has dismissed an urgent application by the main opposition MDC to lift a police ban on its demonstration scheduled for the capital, Harare, on Friday.

On Thursday, law enforcement agents said there was “concrete evidence” that the party intended to roll out violent demonstrations.
