‘I am not a machine, but I did play like one today’

NOVAK Djokovic is showing signs he has fully recovered from a shoulder injury that forced him out of the US Open.

The World number one tennis player was quoted by the BBC as saying he played like a machine in progressing to the Japan Open semi-final on Friday.

“I am not a machine but I did play like one today. This was one of the best matches I played this year. I am very, very pleased with the way I feel and played on the court,” he said.

Djokovic beat world number 24, Lucas Pouille, 6-1 6-2.
