Jah Prayzah Tuesday made history as the first Zimbabwean musician to be played on ZTN Prime with his video, Takarasima.
The video was aired exactly six minutes after the station hit the airwaves, at 1730hrs.
The coming of ZTN Prime has since been embraced by viewers who seem to have fallen in love at “first sight”.
Viewers around the world took to social media to express their satisfaction with the new baby.
Of note among the praise is the picture quality and how the channel introduced itself.
It was electric.
Speaking shortly after the launch, ZTN General Manager, Ms Nomsa Nkala, expressed satisfaction.
“So we finally launched on Multichoice Channel 294.
“We are very excited, we’re excited that especially Zimbabweans can now see what we’ve been putting together for the past few years and access us from wherever they’re. DStv on the go, you can catch ZTN Prime from wherever you are.
“Our content cuts across the different communities, different masses. We’re confident that Zimbabweans will find something that appeals to them on our channel. This is history in the making,” said Ms Nkala.
The new television channel is being aired on DSTV Channel 294 and is being accessed by DSTV Premium, Compact Plus, Compact, Access and Lite Bouquet subscribers.
The launch of the channel is part of Zimpapers Group’s expansion drive into the digital space.
