Karuru joins Stellenbosch

Zimbabwe senior men’s football team vice captain, Ovidy Karuru has joined Stellenbosch after leaving AmaZulu by mutual consent.
Stellenbosch anchor the 16 team Absa premiership log with 12 points from 14 games while Amazulu are just a point above them.

Karuru who made six appearances for the Durban based side in all competitions this season, reached a mutual agreement for the termination of his contract with Amazulu just a couple weeks before the January transfer window opens.
The Zimbabwe international joined Amazulu in 2017 from Kaizer Chiefs and went on to score six goals and made 56 appearances.
The former kaizer Chiefs man is alleged to have had a fractious relationship with new Amazulu coach Jozef Vukusic who joined the South African side in September.
ZTN also understands the 30 year old midfielder made it clear that he wouldn’t be signing a new deal and Amazulu want to bring in another foreign striker, so to free one foreign spot they had to let go of Karuru.
