Kasuza Injury: CT Scan rules out internal injury

ZIMBABWE batsman Kevin Kasuza will be monitored over night to see if he can continue against Sri Lanka on day four after sustaining injury at Harare Sports Club on Tuesday.

“Kevin Kasuza was hit by the ball on the side of his helmet while fielding at short-leg and sustained soft tissue injury in the skull. A concussion test was negative, while a CT scan also ruled out internal injury,” ZC said in a statement.

By end of day three, Sri Lanka were totally in control, giving them a bigger chance going into the last two days of the first of two test matches.

Zimbabwe set a total of 358 in their first innings and by end of day three, Sri Lanka had pushed towards 300 – on 295 with 6 wickets to spare in their first innings.

Angelo Mathews was on 92 not out while Dhananjaya de Silva, on 42, will also be on the crease for day four.
