ZIMBABWE’S Warriors defender, Gerald Takwara has praised FBC Holdings for the 2021 Afcon campaign support.

Takwara was speaking at the official handover of US$35 thousand winning bonuses from the bank for the one game the team won against Guinea.

“We are so motivated because of the support you gave us”, said Takwara.

Elimination from the tournament after losing the first two games meant the Warriors missed out on more bonuses and houses that had been promised by the bank.

Takwara pleaded with the bank to continue with its support despite he and his team’s unfortunate performance, saying he “hopes those houses are not going away”.

“Next Afcon (we) will do better, those houses must stay”, Takwara said.

FBC Chief Executive Officer, John Mushayavanhu praised the Warriors at the handover ceremony.

“The fact that the Warriors qualified for Afcon and didn’t come back empty handed means, in Africa, they are a force to be reckoned with.”

Mushayavanhu assured the Warriors that the bank “will be announcing (their) sponsorship in good time for the next Afcon games”.
