Lighter side of Zim lockdown

Spread the love

ZTN Reporter

Zimbabwe today entered day three of a 21-day lock down aimed at curbing the spread of the coronavirus.

But the question is what are people getting up to behind those closed doors?

Well for one Harare man Pasca Bunya, the lock down has given him a perfect opportunity to get pampered by his wife Rutendo Chiunya.

A picture Bunya being fed porridge by his wife has been trending on social media and the fellow is counting on all joy as he enjoys the lock down.

Bunya reckons it’s time to rekindle the love!

“I am rarely at home because there is so much that needs to be done to feed the family but this lock down is proving to be a blessing in disguise,” he said.

“I am spending time with family and having fun with them. Many people believe that what they saw on the picture does not obtain in my home regularly but that is how we are … me and my wife are best friends.

“I have heard some husbands complaining that being at home 24/7 is boring but my advice to them is enjoy the moment. The moment you have a negative attitude towards it all is the beginning quarrels.”

Elsewhere, self-styled prophet Passion Java has added a humorous twist to the lock down tale by suggesting that the period will help husbands see their wives for whom they really are.

“You rushed to get married but this lock down will teach you a very good lesson, it will open your eyes. You will ask yourself ‘what was I thinking when I married this person?,” says Java in a video that is also doing the rounds on social media.
