After failing to get his wish granted to have the local Premiership season brought forward, Warriors coach Zdravko Logarusic has reached out to local coaches to help him come up with a competitive African Nations Championship (CHAN) squad.

The local ensemble of the Warriors will be participating at the CHAN finals in Cameroon in April – the first test for Logarusic.

PSL are yet to confirm dates of the 2020 domestic season, which means Zimbabwe will go into the competition with players that are not active at club level.

Loga was in Bulawayo over the weekend to meet coaches based in the country’s second biggest city and also to have a look at Barbourfields stadium – the likely venue for the Warriors’ clash against Algeria next month.

“I have come to meet with the local PSL coaches and also familiarise myself with Barbourfields Stadium, where the Warriors are going to be playing their home matches,” Logarusic told The Sunday News.

“I want to share experiences and ideas with the coaches while also getting their opinion on how we can work together going forward. Their input is critical as it will assist me as I prepare for the 2020 Chan finals.”
