Magombeyi speaks of Zim return

Zimbabwe Hospital Doctors’ Association acting president Peter Magombeyi, who is alleged to have been abducted in September, plans to return home.

In written responses to ZTN from South Africa  , where he went to seek treatment after the alleged abduction, Magombeyi revealed that he has since been discharged from hospital and is now going for regular check up.

He also spoke of his desire to come back home.

“I still want to practice in Zimbabwe and improve the health care delivery services and advocate for the low socio- economic groups to achieve health for all,” said Magombeyi.

Magombeyi reportedly went missing in September but questions have been raised about the events surrounding the alleged abduction.

Eyebrows were raised when the ZHDA acting president resurfaced, with his clothes clean and cell phone fully charged.

Zimbabwean police continue to investigate the matter.
