Man jailed 30 years for raping three minors

A 45-year-old man in Zimbabwe’s Beitbridge border town has been jailed thirty years for raping his two daughters and a third victim.

The three victims are aged between seven and nine years.

The convict, whose name is being withheld to protect the victims, denied the four rape charges he was facing.

However, Beitbridge Regional Magistrate Ms Sithembiso Ndebele convicted him based on evidence.

The case came to light this year after the man was arrested on a different charge and his children were taken to a local children’s home where they narrated their ordeal to social workers who in turn made a police report.
