Zimbabwe’s late former President Robert Mugabe will be buried at the National Heroes’ Acre, a family spokesperson has announced.
Leo Mugabe, nephew to the late former leader told ZTN on Friday morning that the date of the burial was yet to be set.
The family and Government have been engaged in talks on the burial arrangement of the former President.
Mugabe’s body is expected to be taken to Rufaro stadium this morning for a parade, where members of the public will be given an opportunity to bid their former leader farewell.
On Saturday, a funeral ceremony will be held at the National Sports Stadium, in Harare were eleven heads of state are expected to pay their last respects to the liberation icon.
Mugabe died in Singapore on Friday 6 September.
