Mugabe journeys back home

The body of former President Robert Mugabe is on its way to Zimbabwe ahead of burial on Sunday.

The pan-Africanist icon died in Singapore last Friday.

His nephew, Leo Mugabe, told ZTN News that the aircraft bearing the remains took off from the Oriental city-state at 0830 hrs (CAT) on Wednesday and is expected in Zimbabwe’s capital, Harare, at roughly 1500hrs (CAT).

“Indeed, the body is now on its way to Zimbabwe,” he said.
