Zimbabwe has been dealt a massive blow in the must-win Group A clash against Uganda tonight following the unavailability of star midfielder Marvellous Nakamba.

The Belgium-based star will not be available for the tie after he was injured at training, team manager Wellington Mpandare confirmed the developments to the media.

Nakamba has transformed himself into a key Warriors players, and against Egypt he did not disappoint either with arguably the best performance on the night.

His exploits in last season’s Uefa champions league and his ability to superintend the midfield has not gone unnoticed.

The 25-year-old has attracted serious interest from English premier league clubs as well as clubs in Italy’s top tier league.

Nakamba has transformed himself into a key Warriors players, and against Egypt he did not disappoint either with arguably the best performance on the night.

Nakamba’s absence comes as a huge blow to the Warriors who have already been rocked by the absence of first choice centre forward Nyasha Mushekwi and goalkeeper Edmore Sibanda who stared against the hosts.

In the trio’s absence, Danny Phiri is expected to replace Nakamba, while George Chigova and Tino Kadewere will take Sibanda and Mushekwi’s respective positions.
