Nelson Chamisa’s lawyer granted bail

Zimbabwe opposition leader Nelson Chamisa’s lawyer, Advocate Thabani Mpofu has been granted bail.

Advocate Mpofu is facing two counts of obstructing the course of justice with an alternative charge of fraud and perjury.

Chief magistrate Munamato Mutevedzi granted Mpofu ZWL$20 000 bail and ordered him to report to police once every week.

Advocate Mpofu is expected back in court on July 10.

He is being represented by Beatrice Mthethwa while Michael Reza is for the State.
