Partying Woman Loses Car To Friends

A Harare woman lost her vehicle to her friend following a night out drinking.

Investigators heard that on the 19th of February Tatenda Machesa was in the company of the complainant who is her friend having drinks at a local bar.

The complainant, after realizing that she was drunk, gave Machesa her cars keys and cellphone for
safekeeping.

Machesa then hired a taxi to take her and the complainant home, before handing the car keys to Learnmore Ushe who drove the car to an unknown location.

The following day, the complainant woke up in the company of both Machesa and Ushe who told her that her car had been stolen. She proceeded to Glen View police station to make a report which led to the duo’s arrest.

Harare Magistrate Yeukai Dzuda remanded the suspects in custody to the 8th of March and advised them to approach the High Court for bail.
