Pastor Up For Theft

A 31-year-old year old pastor appeared before Harare magistrate, Notisia Shenje, facing two counts of theft after he allegedly broke into his church premises and went away with property worth US$13 000.
The court heard that on the 11th of July, Adolf Lwazi Moyo unlawfully entered into the Apostles of Christ Church premises and took electronic gadgets including television sets and laptops.
Moyo was captured by CCTV while taking the gadgets. On the 16th the complainant went to the church and discovered that 18 laptops were missing, which prompted the report.
Moyo further went and allegedly stole a television set from a local law firm in the capital.
On the 19th of July. Moyo was arrested by the police and voluntarily made indications, leading to the recovery of some of the stolen gadgets.
