Questions over Bosso’s participation in CAF confederation cup

ZIMBABWE could suffer a blow if Highlanders decide to snub the CAF Confederation Cup due to financial challenges.
On Tuesday Highlanders were yet to respond to ZTN Sport on their position despite having planned to make a decision on Monday.
The PSL giants won the biggest cup competition, the Chibuku Super Cup, qualifying to play in Africa in the process.
Successful participation in Africa earns points that can eventually increase the country’s representatives.
However, indications on the ground are that Bosso first need guarantees from a sponsor before they can throw their name in the hat.
“We will also engage our sponsors on the issue before making a decision. We don’t want to rush and confirm our participation before addressing key issues. We also don’t want to get the club sanctioned by Caf for failing to participate. I think by the end of the week, a decision would have been made,” Highlanders chairman Kenneth Mhlophe was quoted as saying by the Chronicle as saying on Monday.
