Zimbabwe Cricket all-rounder, Sikandar Raza is set to miss the Pakistan series due to injury.

The 34-year-old has undergone a biopsy on his right arm.

Ztn Sport understands that Raza started feeling pain at the start of Zimbabwe’s series against Afghanistan last month in the UAE.

The medical team then found out a growth in his bone hence a biopsy.(A biopsy is a sample of tissue taken from the body to examine it closely).

Raza could be set for a lengthy lay-off with results expected in 10 days.

Zimbabwe is set to host Pakistan for three T20Is and two Tests in Harare between April 21 and May 11th.

Raza is said to have played through “pain and tears” during Zimbabwe’s series against Afghanistan in Abu Dhabi last month.

Upon returning from the UAE, Raza didn’t feature in Rock’s Logan Cup match.

“Kindly asking everyone to keep me in your prayers as I go on my biopsy today on my right arm,” Tweeted Raza.

“Thanks to physio Wambe for all his efforts that got me through the last tour.”

Also on a lengthy injury lay-off is limited overs captain Chamu Chibhabha who is battling a groin injury.

Tendai Chatara is still recovering from a recurrent bicep injury while Kyle Jarvis has taken some time off after suffering from covid-19, Malaria and tick bite.
