A five-member delegation of senior officials from Dubai is in Harare today ahead of the launch dinner for “the road to EXPO 2020 DUBAI” to be hosted by Zimbabwe’s vice president Kembo Mohadi.
The visit by the envoys, facilitated through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, has the primary objective of engaging government, the private sector and other critical stakeholders ahead of Zimbabwe’s inaugural participation at the exhibition.
A technical meeting was held this morning with ministry heads and business representatives to unpack technical aspects of Zimbabwe’s participation at the expo. The meeting was facilitated by the National Coordinating Committee led by the Commissioner General Ambassador Mary Mubi.
Ministers, Heads of Ministries, Captains of Industry, Marketing Executives, Cultural Associations and other invited stakeholders are expected to grace the launch dinner which will start at 5PM. The launch programme will include an update for participating countries and how interested stakeholders can take part.
