Senior Zimbabwe Land Commission Official Dies

A senior Zimbabwe Land Commission official, Commissioner Edmore Augustine Ndudzo has died. He was 65.

In a statement, Zimbabwe Land Commission Chairperson, Commissioner Tendai Bare said Commissioner Ndudzo died on Saturday, 17 July, after a short illness.

The late Commissioner was appointed into the Zimbabwe Land Commission in 2016, a position he held until the time of his death.

A chartered accountant by profession, Commissioner Ndudzo was instrumental in the settlement of agricultural land disputes as well as in the conduct of the National Comprehensive  Agricultural Land Audit which are the major constitutional mandates of the Zimbabwe Land Commission.

Commissioner Ndudzo was the lead consultant in the formulation of the Public Finance Management Act of Zimbabwe which was enacted in 2009.

He served on various boards and development projects in the country, including the World Bank funded Budiriro Housing Development and the Kuwadzana Housing schemes.Commissioner Ndudzo is survived by his wife Rutendo, four daughters and three grandchildren.

He will be buried on Sunday, 18 July, at his rural home in Chihota, Mashonaland East province
