Soldier Shooting: Suspects Still On The Run

The two suspects who allegedly killed a Zimbabwe National Army member and injured another in Chivhu on Saturday are still on the run, authorities have said.

The Information Ministry twitted on Sunday, “Security services are conducting a large scale operation to bring them to book.”

According to police, one of the suspects opened fire on the two soldiers, took their service arms and then fled. The shooting occurred outside a police post under yet-to-be established circumstances.

Authorities said the suspects are still to be apprehended, contrary to social media reports.
