The CAPS United leadership and coach Lloyd Chitembwe seem to have buried their differences to allow the coach to continue leading the technical department.

Chitembwe apparently spent close to a month not reporting for duty after concerns were raised about his relationship with club Vice President Nhamo Tutisani, but club President Farai Jere said his coach was absent because of ill health.

CAPS United called a news conference to set the record straight after reports had emerged that their championship winning coach was linked with a move to ZPC Kariba.

However, Chitembwe pledged his allegiance to the team and rubbished rumours speculating his move away from the Harare giants.

Makepekepe are on position three, just four points behind the leaders and their target of winning the league’s ultimate prize remains a reality.
