HIGHLANDERS edged a visiting Chapungu side 1-0 at Barbourfields stadium in a castle lager premier soccer league encounter played this afternoon (Wednesday).

Having finally broken his goal-scoring drought in spectacular fashion on Sunday, albeit for the Warriors, striker, Prince Dube scored again this afternoon from the penalty spot to give Highlanders the lead before half-time.

Bosso were awarded a penalty in the 35th minute after Piniel Gumbo hacked down Ray Lunga who was having a blinder of a game on the left wing.

Despite Chapungu goalie, Talbert Shumba’s best efforts, Dube’s well taken spot kick hit the back of the net much to the relief of Bosso faithfuls.

In another Premier soccer league match played at Ascot stadium this afternoon, Chicken Inn FC blew a chance to cement their status as title contenders as they drew nil all with relegation threatened Telone FC.
