THE newly appointed Zimbabwe Iron and Steel Company, (Zisco) board says its priority is to revive the defunct steel giant, in line with government policy to turn around the economy.

The board’s vice chairperson, Dr Gift Mugano told ZTN news that they want to revive Zisco to its glory days when it used to be the hub of economic activities in the Midlands province.

He said one of their main objectives is to substitute iron and steel imports which are currently costing the country an estimated US$300 million per annum.
