Yato-less Fiji face Uruguay

Fiji will be without star flanker Peceli Yato for Wednesday morning’s 2019 Rugby World Cup against Uruguay at the Kamaishi Recovery Memorial Stadium, Kamaishi City, Japan.

The Fijians will take to the field of play with a spring in their step after a praiseworthy opener against powerhouses Australia, where they lost 21-39, and the last time they played Uruguay they won 68-7 at the 2015 finals.

Meanwhile, in today (Tuesday)’s only match, a dominating and hard-fought second half toil by Samoa in their opening game at the finals ensured they overturned Russia’s first half lead to win with a comfortable 34-9 score line in the second half.
