RESIDENTS of Zimbabwe’s capital, Harare, on Wednesday experienced cold weather which came as a surprise in the middle of Summer, which is usually characterised by hot weather.
The Meteorological Services department has attributed the sudden change of weather to southerly winds which have swept through the country.
Most areas in southern Zimbabwe, including the border town of Beitbridge, have been experiencing the cold weather since Monday, and it is expected to continue while central parts will have warm weather.
Warm weather conditions are expected to return by Thursday afternoon.
Meteorological Services Department (MSD), head of forecasting James Ngoma, explains the weather changes.
