Vincent Muziri retained the national heavyweight boxing title after beating Simon Madanhire by a retirement decision on Saturday at Harare Showgrounds.
Muziri who won the title last year did not labour much for the victory as his challenger retired in the third round as he could not continue with the bout.
At the end of the bout, the heavyweight boxer said he feels he is now bigger than local competition and is looking at conquering beyond the country’s borders.
“After retaining the title I now want to go beyond the borders because there is no challenge here.
“I am now looking for fights in Botswana, South Africa and Namibia. I had called out Elvis Moyo last year but he is now too way bigger than me so he is out of the question,” said Muziri.
Meanwhile, Zvikomborero Danzwa also retained her national female super bantamweight title after beating Revai Madondo by a unanimous points decision.
